Founder’s Story
Molweni. Hola. Namaste.
The idea for Thandeka started back in 2008 when I was living in Cape Town, traveling throughout Africa, and working with Grassroot Soccer, an NGO that uses sport to engage with adolescents and support them in making healthy life decisions.
I realized that travel could be a huge conduit for change. A change in the way we see ourselves and the way we see other. If designed in the right way, travel could create a series of experiences that would slowly accumulate on our soul, and leave us more closely connected with others than before.
Together, Thandeka clients form a collective of thoughtful travelers that want to explore beautiful places and meet beautiful people along the way!
